Deep Knowledge

Deep knowledge is "the internal and causal structure of a system and considers the interactions among the system's components. Deep knowledge can be applied to different tasks and different situations." Deep knowledge is far more difficult to have a computer use than shallow knowledge.

from Turban, E., and J. Aronson. (1988) Decision Support Systems and Intelligent Systems. Upper Saddle River, NJ: Prentice Hall, Inc.
